Teach by Example |
One
of the best ways to teach young people and children is by setting
a good example. Our children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews
often learn more by watching what we do rather than what
we say.
Consider setting an excellent Christian example
in the following categories for those who are watching us:
Keep the speed limit.
Stop
at stop signs.
Do
not run red lights.
Avoid
road rage and do not react to those who participate.
Shun
the temptation to "sample" fruit or candy in the grocery
store.
Be
faithful to attend church.
Obey
the laws of the land and support law enforcement.
Watch
only wholesome television programs.
Do
not cheat on your income taxes.
Talk
about the goodness of God.
Be
quick to compliment and encourage others.
Speak
softly and avoid anger.
Be
patient.
Avoid
criticism.
Keep
the lines of communication open.
Pray
regularly and encourage prayer.
Be
quick to help others.
Read
the Bible and other good books.
Be
truthful at all times.
Look
for the good in everyone.
