Happy Holidays

Some people look forward to holidays with real zest and excitement. Others dread holidays for a variety of reasons.

It is possible to enjoy holidays by making other people happy. In doing this, you can be blessed.

Christmas

Bake cookies. You may want to decorate them. Give a dozen cookies on a pretty paper plate to shut-ins who can eat sweets.

Find another lonely person with whom to share Christmas dinner.

Invite singles to share a family holiday meal.

Get together with friends and go caroling.

Help decorate the church or the home of a shut-in.

Adopt a child of a single parent and provide a gift for him or her.

New Year's

Invite a friend to your church's activities.

Review the blessings of the past year, giving thanks for God's faithfulness.

Set goals for the coming year.

These ideas will get you through the holiday season. Be creative with other holidays and plan something fun and meaningful. Any time you cheer up someone else, you cannot help but be cheered up yourself.

Happy holidays!
